In life we hear about so many losses: divorce, moving, resigning, retirement, pregnancy, promotion, pandemic and so much more. But in society we don't realize how these life transitions impact us. Societally we fail to acknowledge that all types life altering circumstances can be a loss because we lose what once was. Even changes that ADD VALUE to our lives, like marriage for example, can still create feelings of the loss, i.e. no longer experience the benefits of being single, not having to compromise or discuss major decisions.
And life is constantly changing, I remember while at work myself and 2 other colleagues were all dealing with loss.
